Inspecta Gadjet

Powerful Takealot product research tool. Dive deep into marketplace data, track products, and calculate profits from your browser.

Inspecta Gadjet puts seller research on Takealot as you browse. Before you list a product, see what it sells, what it costs you in fees, how hard the keyword is and how big the category is, without leaving the page. It works on Takealot search results, category pages, seller pages and product pages, and signs in with your Gadjet account. On search, category and seller pages: A label on every product: estimated monthly sales and revenue, Takealot success and fulfilment fees, price against the page average, category, category rank and position in the results. Compact mode: one line per product, with the full details and a sortable table of every product on the page in Chrome's side panel. A page summary panel: average price, stock, ratings and top brand. Copy every PLID, export the page to CSV, or search for suppliers on Alibaba. Keywords and categories: Gadjet keyword panel in Takealot's search box: as you type, see Takealot's suggestions alongside keywords that start with, end with and relate to your search, each with a Gadjet Estimate of monthly searches and its three-month trend. Click any keyword to search Takealot. On the Free plan the panel shows Takealot's suggestions with estimates; the other columns come with paid plans. You can switch back to Takealot's own dropdown, with estimates next to each suggestion, at any time. Keyword bar on searches: monthly search volume in South Africa, competition, Gadjet IQ score and suggested bid range. Category bar on category pages: number of listings, the leading brand's share, where stock sits (Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban), and the estimated monthly market size in units and revenue on request. On product pages: Opportunity score combining demand, competition and room for new listings. Fees, estimated monthly sales, similar products and a profit calculator using Takealot's fee schedule. Price and category-rank history for up to 90 days, where Gadjet has it. Prices include VAT. Add your own offer on this product for one of your connected stores. (review wording — see above) Ask Gadjet Every label and panel has an Ask Gadjet button that opens a chat in the Gadjet app about that product, search or category. On the Takealot Seller Portal A Gadjet summary on your Seller Portal dashboard: 30-day forecast, revenue at risk, recoverable amounts and what changed since your last visit. Off by default; switch it on (Simple or Complex) in the extension's settings. Estimates are model projections from Takealot's public search results. They are directional, not exact sales figures. Inspecta Gadjet needs a Gadjet account. Plans, including a free plan, are at gadjet.ai/pricing. Some data, such as estimated sales and market size, depends on your plan.
