**TextSnap Pro — Text Extraction & OCR Sidebar** TextSnap Pro turns your browser into a text-collection workspace. Grab text from articles, capture subtitles from videos, and OCR any region of the screen — all saved into a persistent sidebar you can review, copy, and export at any time. --- **✦ Three ways to capture text** **1 · Text selection** Highlight any text on a page and click the floating **Extract** button that appears beside your selection. Or right-click and choose **Extract to Sidebar** from the context menu. No keyboard shortcut to memorise — the button is always exactly where your selection is. **2 · Video frame OCR** Hover over any `<video>` element and click **Capture Text** to extract the text currently visible in the frame. TextSnap Pro runs full OCR locally in your browser — no data is sent to any server. Capture multiple frames from the same video and they are automatically stitched into a single growing snippet. Click **Finish** when you are done to lock the card. **3 · Screenshot region OCR** Click the camera icon in the sidebar, switch to any tab, and drag to draw a rectangle over the area you want to read. TextSnap Pro captures the visible tab, crops to your selection, and runs OCR — useful for images, charts, PDFs rendered in the browser, or any content that cannot be selected as text. --- **✦ Persistent snippet sidebar** Every captured item appears as a card in the side panel showing the source domain, page title, capture time, and a scrollable text preview. Cards survive browser restarts — snippets are stored locally and reloaded automatically. **✦ Per-card actions** - **Copy** — copies the full text to your clipboard with one click - **Save .txt** — downloads the snippet as a plain-text file named after the page title - **Delete** — removes the card from both the UI and local storage **✦ Bulk actions** - **Export All** — downloads every snippet as a single formatted `.txt` file - **Clear All** — wipes all snippets after a confirmation prompt **✦ Light and dark mode** Toggle between light and dark themes with the sun/moon button in the sidebar header.
