Descroll
Overview
A little friction for endless feeds.
Descroll makes scrolling a little annoying. Turn it on for the social feeds you keep getting stuck in. After a while, one random effect kicks in. Scrolling might slow down or reverse; a colorful feed might turn gray. By default, Change effects between pages is on. As you move between pages in a feed, Descroll can switch to a different effect after a fresh, unpredictable wait. Only one effect runs at a time. Turn the option off to keep the same effect until you reload the page. Choose Repair until reload to restore the current page and keep it that way until reload, including as you move through the site. Reloading starts a new independent draw, which may repeat. You can also turn Descroll off for that site. Sites are off by default. Keyboard scrolling still works. Free. No account, ads, or analytics. Settings stay on your device. Descroll sends no browsing data. For desktop Chrome 140 or later. Effects vary by site and can make pages harder to read.
