Simple Shorts Blocker for YouTube removes Shorts from YouTube on desktop Chrome, so you can keep using YouTube without getting pulled into endless short videos. What it does • Hides Shorts shelves and Shorts tiles in search results, the home feed and subscriptions • Hides the "Shorts" item in the sidebar, the "Shorts" tab on channel pages and the "Shorts" search filter • If you click a Shorts link or open a Shorts URL, you land on a block page instead of the Shorts player • Need that one video? "Watch anyway" opens it in the regular YouTube player Free & simple • Free. No paid plan. • No ads. • No data collected. The extension makes no network requests and stores nothing. • Zero setup. It works as soon as it is installed. • There is no on/off switch on purpose. To pause it, turn the extension off in chrome://extensions. Notes • Works on youtube.com in desktop Chrome. It does not affect the YouTube mobile app, other browsers or YouTube Music. • Chrome will show that the extension can "read and change your data on youtube.com".
