Overview

A quieter feed with local content filters and private name blocking. Choose what you want less of.

Poof makes a little room for the internet you like. Choose the people, posts and websites you want less of, and they go poof. NOT THESE PEOPLE Add a name, @handle or alias. Posts by or about them are hidden behind a small cloud you can click to reveal. Block for a day, a week, or as long as you like. LESS OF THIS Nine optional content filters, all off until you choose them: Hustle bros, Karma farmers, Rage bait, Doom sayers, Thirst traps, Humble brags, Alpha dudes, Political groups and AI babes. Filters look for combinations of signals rather than single keywords, and leave criticism and ordinary discussion visible. Gentle and Balanced sensitivity let you choose how cautious they are. NOT GOING THERE Block whole websites. Visits go to a calm Poof page instead, with a one-minute escape hatch if you really need it. ADS BE GONE An optional switch blocks common advertising networks and hides recognizable ad slots. Everything runs locally. Some ads, including in-video ads, may still appear. NO TRACKING A separate optional switch blocks common analytics, tracking pixels and session-recording requests with local browser rules. Some tracking, including collection through the site itself, may still get through. OPTIONAL LOCAL AI Download a multilingual text model (136 MB) or an experimental image model (157 MB) and Poof can recognise meaning, not just words. The models run on your device. Right-click any post to teach Poof "less like this" or "keep more like this". PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. Your lists and settings are saved in your browser. Filtering happens on your device. Optional online features — name suggestions from Wikipedia, anonymous block counts, model downloads, a shared cache and bring-your-own-key cloud AI — are off until you turn them on, and each is explained in settings. Full details: https://makeitpoof.com/privacy Poof hides matching content on supported web pages. Results vary by site and layout. It changes what you see, not the recommendations a website generates.
