Hirely — bulk resume parser
Overview
Drop up to 20 resumes, get a searchable candidate table you can export to CSV. Runs entirely on your machine. No AI, no upload.
You have forty resumes in a folder and a shortlist due tomorrow. So you open them one at a time, copy the name, copy the email, squint at the dates to work out how many years they actually have, paste it all into a spreadsheet, and by the twelfth one you have stopped checking your own typing. Hirely does that part. Drop the batch in, and every candidate comes back as a row: name, email, phone, current company, total experience, skills, college. Search it, sort it, export it to CSV, get on with the actual hiring. ★ TWENTY AT A TIME Drag in a whole folder. Files are processed three at a time with per-file progress, and one bad file never takes the batch down with it — you get the other nineteen and a clear reason for the one that failed. ★ WHATEVER THE CANDIDATE SENT Word documents, PDFs and plain text files all parse, and so do scanned resumes and photos of printouts, read by OCR that runs on your own machine. Files are checked by their actual contents rather than their extension, so a document saved under the wrong name still parses and a renamed executable is refused. ★ BUILT FOR THE RESUMES PEOPLE ACTUALLY SEND Two-column Canva templates. Headings styled instead of written — "MY JOURNEY" rather than "EXPERIENCE". Dates written six different ways. An email wrapped across two lines by a narrow sidebar. A scan of a printout. Hirely reads columns in the right order, finds headings by their type size when the wording is unfamiliar, and works out what a section is from what is inside it. ★ IT TELLS YOU WHAT IT IS UNSURE OF Every record carries a confidence score, and anything the parser could not read cleanly is flagged — name uncertain, no email found, read by OCR. Filter to the few rows that need a human and trust the rest. A tool that guesses silently puts a wrong phone number in your spreadsheet and you find out when the call fails. ★ NOTHING LEAVES YOUR COMPUTER No account, no sign-in, no API key, no server. Hirely requests no access to any website and makes no network requests at all — the PDF reader and the OCR engine are bundled inside the extension rather than loaded from a CDN. Resumes carry personal phone numbers, home addresses and salary history, and sending them to a third-party AI service is a decision most HR teams cannot make casually. So Hirely does not make it for you. ★ NO AI, AND THAT IS THE POINT Fields are recovered with pattern matching, layout analysis and dictionaries. Nothing is invented: every value in the table comes from text that is genuinely in the document. A language model can hallucinate a plausible phone number that appears nowhere in the resume. This cannot. ★ THE SPREADSHEET YOU WANTED 29 fields to choose from — contact details, current company and role, full employment history with months calculated, education, skills, notice period, CTC. Pick your columns, export CSV or JSON. Opens straight in Excel or Google Sheets with accented names intact. Hirely is free, has no accounts, and shows no ads.
