Hippius records your screen and takes screenshots right from your browser, then gives you a link to share. Every capture is encrypted in your browser before it leaves your computer, and saved to your own Hippius Drive. Show it instead of typing it out. Record a quick walkthrough, a bug report or feedback on a design, talk it through on camera, and paste the link into a chat, an email or a ticket. The person you send it to just opens the link. RECORD YOUR SCREEN • Record the current tab, an area of your screen, a whole screen or a window, or just your camera. • Add your voice with your microphone, and the sound from the tab or your computer. • Show yourself in a camera bubble. Place it and size it before you start. • In Chrome and Edge, your camera or the recording controls float above every tab and app while you record a screen or a window. • A countdown before you start, then pause, resume, restart, stop or discard whenever you like. TAKE SCREENSHOTS • The visible page, an area you drag out, or any screen or window, including other apps. • An optional timer, for menus and hover states that close when you click. SHARE WITH A LINK • When you finish, the capture is encrypted, saved to the Captures drive in your Hippius Drive, and a share link is copied to your clipboard. • Anyone with the link can view the capture. You can turn a link off at any time in the Hippius console. • Open a screenshot in the Hippius console's editor to mark it up. • Upload files from your computer the same way. ALL YOUR CAPTURES IN ONE PLACE • The toolbar popup lists your captures, newest first, with pictures, search, and Copy link, Download and Delete. • The same captures are in the Hippius console and the Hippius desktop app. KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS • Alt+Shift+R to record or stop, Alt+Shift+P to pause, Alt+Shift+S for a screenshot of the page, Alt+Shift+A for an area. You can change them. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Captures are encrypted in your browser before they are uploaded. Hippius stores them encrypted and cannot see what is in them. • The extension captures only when you ask it to. • It talks only to Hippius. No analytics, no ads, no trackers. WHAT YOU NEED • A Hippius account. Connect it once from the extension, through the Hippius console. • Chrome or Edge 116 or later. • The free plan adds a small Hippius mark to captures and allows recordings of up to 5 minutes and up to 25 recordings. Paid plans remove these limits.
