Overview

Records your online language lesson as two audio tracks and sends them to Lesson Studio for a written recap.

Lesson Studio Recorder captures an online language lesson from inside your browser and turns it into a draft recap you can review and send to your student. No bot joins the call. Nothing is installed on your student's side. You press record, teach, and press stop. TWO TRACKS, NOT ONE The extension records two separate audio files: your microphone, and the audio your lesson tab is playing. On a video call the tab audio is the other participant on their own, because a call never plays your own voice back to you. Keeping the two apart means speaker attribution is exact instead of guessed. That is what makes talk-time balance, words per minute and response latency worth reading — they are measured, not estimated. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open your lesson — Preply, italki, Google Meet, or any site that plays the call in a tab. 2. Click the extension, pick the student, and press Start recording. 3. Teach. You can close the popup; recording carries on in the background. 4. Press Stop recording, then Send to Lesson Studio. 5. A draft recap appears in your Lesson Studio account. Nothing reaches the student until you approve it. You can also save either track to your own machine instead of sending it. WHAT IT RECORDS, PLAINLY This extension records audio from your microphone and audio played by the lesson tab, which is your student's voice. Both people on the call are recorded. Nothing is uploaded anywhere until you press Send to Lesson Studio. When you do, both tracks go to your own Lesson Studio account and are transcribed by OpenAI in order to write the recap. Recordings are deleted 30 days after upload. The extension does not read the pages you visit, does not track your browsing, contains no analytics or advertising, and never sells data. It asks for access to exactly two addresses — koku-library.app and our Supabase project — and to capture audio from the tab you invoke it on. BEFORE YOU RECORD SOMEONE Tell your student they are being recorded and get their agreement. Several countries and US states require everyone on a call to consent, and Preply, italki and Google Meet each have their own rules about recording lessons. You are responsible for the recordings you make. REQUIREMENTS - A Lesson Studio account (koku-library.app) — you sign in with the same email and password. - Chrome 116 or later. - The lesson tab must stay open while recording.
