Overview

AI hints for Google Meet: explains jargon, acronyms, names and terms the moment they're said, plus live fact checking.

Hintly is a live AI explainer for Google Meet. When someone mentions a term, acronym, name or reference you don't know, Hintly shows a short explanation beside the call a moment later, so you can keep following the conversation instead of nodding along. What Hintly does - Explains jargon, acronyms and terms as they're said "We're seeing split-brain after the failover." A card appears: Split-brain, two databases both acting as primary. Hover it for one more line of context. - Fills in the blanks When someone can't remember a name ("that book about the desert planet with the giant worms"), Hintly works out what they mean and names it for you: Dune. - Live fact checking When someone states something that's clearly false, like the wrong year or the wrong inventor, Hintly quietly shows the right answer. It's strict: only plainly wrong facts are flagged, never opinions, estimates, plans or recent news. - Keeps track of who's who People, projects and clients mentioned earlier in the call come back as a reminder when they're mentioned again. "Priya: moving to the Berlin office in March." - Stays out of your way Hintly stays quiet until something is worth explaining. Cards sit near the top of the call, clear themselves after a few seconds and never cover the people you're talking to. Click a card to dismiss it. - Comes with you between tabs Switch to your notes or inbox and your hints follow you in Meet's floating picture-in-picture window. How it works 1. Install Hintly and sign in with Google. 2. Join a Google Meet call and switch Hintly on from its button in the Meet toolbar. 3. Hints appear on their own as the conversation goes. No need to turn on captions in Meet. Who it's for Anyone who spends their day in calls outside their own expertise: product managers in engineering reviews, founders in investor and sales calls, consultants, recruiters, analysts, students in lectures and anyone joining a new team with its own vocabulary. Pricing - Free trial: 60 minutes of calls with Hintly on. Sign in with Google, no card needed. - Pro: 100 hours of calls a month. Cancel anytime. Privacy Hintly only runs on meet.google.com and only listens while you have it switched on. Caption text is sent securely to Hintly's server to write each hint and is not stored. Hintly never records audio or video and never keeps a transcript of your calls. Memories of people and projects last only for the current call.
