Overview
Finds the hiring manager and recruiters for a job posting and helps you send a follow-up email.
Highcard adds a panel to the job posting you already have open. It reads that posting, finds the people most likely to be hiring for it, and helps you write and send one follow-up email. Where it works - LinkedIn and Indeed job pages - Employer career pages run on the common applicant-tracking systems What it does - Reads the job title, company, location, work arrangement and description from the page you have open. It does not read other tabs, other sites, or your browsing history. - "Get Contacts" sends those job details to the Highcard service, which works out the employer's real website and searches professional-data sources for the likely hiring manager, the recruiters on that team, and — on LinkedIn — the person who posted the job. Results come back with name, job title, employer, location and public profile link. - Infers a likely work email address from the employer's email pattern, or uses one a data provider supplies. - Drafts an introduction email from a resume you upload. The draft is written by Claude (Anthropic). You can edit it before anything is sent. - Saves the jobs you are tracking, with your own notes and status, in your browser's extension storage. Sending email Sending is optional and off until you turn it on. If you connect a Google account, Highcard asks only for permission to send mail (gmail.send). It cannot read your inbox, and it has no permission to. Emails are sent from your own Gmail account, one at a time, only when you click Send. Open tracking Emails sent from Highcard can include an invisible 1x1 tracking image hosted by Highcard. When the recipient's mail client loads that image, the extension's Activity list records that the email was opened. This is on by default and can be switched off with the "Email Tracking" toggle in the Email tab; with it off, no tracking image is added and no tracking record is created. Open tracking is not proof of reading: Apple Mail's privacy protection and corporate mail scanners load images automatically, and recipients who block images register nothing. Account and plans Highcard needs a free account at highcard.app. You connect this browser to that account once. The free plan includes 5 contact searches; paid plans are listed at highcard.app/pricing.html. Privacy Highcard does not sell your data, does not run ad trackers, and reads only the job page you have open. Full policy: https://highcard.app/privacy.html
