Hidden Tokens encodes your messages to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot on your computer, before they are sent. Names, identifiers and amounts become codes (NOM-001, SOCIETE-003, MONTANT-002…); the AI site only receives those codes. Replies are translated back on your screen. WHO IT IS FOR Law firms, accounting firms, HR, legal and compliance teams — any organisation that wants to use AI without handing it the personal data of its clients and staff. HOW IT WORKS 1. Write your message as usual. 2. When you send it, the extension has it encoded by the Hidden Tokens app on your computer, checks that the encoded text has replaced yours in the message box, then sends it. 3. Codes in the replies are replaced with the real values — on your screen only. One key for everything: NOM-001 is the same person in ChatGPT, in Claude and in the files encoded by Hidden Tokens. NOTHING LEAVES IN CLEAR Once paired, if the app does not respond, or if one of your organisation's rules holds the message, nothing is sent — and the extension tells you. NO SERVER The extension only talks to the Hidden Tokens app on your computer (127.0.0.1). It sends nothing to Hidden Tokens or anyone else. No cookies, no analytics, no ads. FOR IT TEAMS Force-install through Chrome policy (ExtensionInstallForcelist) and enforce settings through the extension policy: hold every message while the app is unreachable, even before pairing. IMPORTANT The extension requires the Hidden Tokens app (macOS; Windows coming), available at hiddentokens.com. Without it, the extension encodes nothing: messages are sent and a red banner says so.
