ScrollSnapshot – Full Page Screenshot & Screen Capture
Overview
Full page screenshots and screen capture: batch, region, slice or visible tab. Pixel-exact, local-only, no account.
Capture complete, accurate website screenshots without manually scrolling, stitching images, or sending page content to a cloud service. ScrollSnapshot is a private Chrome screenshot extension for anyone who needs a dependable visual record of a webpage. Capture one page, a precise region, or many pages in a batch, then annotate, watermark, organize into folders and export without leaving the browser. Take the page's text as Markdown, and, if you like, let your coding agent see the page too. WHY SCROLLSNAPSHOT? Web pages are often taller than the screen, change while you scroll, or exceed a browser's single-image limit. ScrollSnapshot handles those cases deliberately. It reports capture scale, preserves exact page coordinates, and offers full-resolution slices when one image is not enough. CAPTURE THE PAGE YOUR WAY • Full page screenshot: automatically scroll and stitch the entire page • Visible area: capture exactly what is on screen • Region: draw a rectangle or freeform selection, enter exact coordinates, use a CSS selector or XPath, or pick an element directly from the page • Slices: save very long pages as numbered images in a ZIP, with adjustable height or count and overlap • Batch: capture every web tab in the current window or up to 50 pasted addresses • Mark up a region before you capture it: arrows, boxes, highlights, text, numbered steps and emoji, with a short note — the toolbar never ends up in the shot EDIT BEFORE YOU SAVE • Crop, rotate, flip and straighten; zoom and pan to inspect details • Annotate with shapes, arrows or plain lines, highlights, text, freehand pen, numbered steps and emoji, each with style options; move and resize marks before applying • Redact with Black out, Pixelate or Blur; choose Black out to completely cover sensitive content • Brush around difficult edges and erase parts of unapplied redactions, with adjustable size and Undo/Redo • Measure with rulers, a grid and draggable guides that stay out of exported images • Add your own watermark: text, a logo, or both, in a corner or tiled, on what you save • Place result toolbars along the bottom, left or right • Extract the real page text without OCR, as plain text or Markdown with its headings, lists, tables and code — from a region, a full page, each slice of a ZIP, or text you select • Pick a color from the page, or open a capture's palette to copy one of its design colors or all of them at once EXPORT THE WAY YOU NEED • Save as PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF • Create one tall PDF or a paginated A4/Letter PDF with page breaks placed between lines of text • Copy screenshots to the clipboard • Keep an optional searchable, filterable, and favoritable local history • Reassemble a Slices ZIP later • Download a whole folder, or any selection of captures, as one ZIP • Save any page as Markdown without taking a screenshot, or open it as a clean, readable document WORK WITH YOUR CODING AGENT (OPTIONAL) • Let Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any MCP client read a page as text or Markdown and capture exactly the element or area it needs, in the browser you are signed in to, in tiles sized to keep its token use down • Mark up a capture and press Send to agent with a note, or draw on an area when the agent asks you to: your note and marks reach it as words and coordinates • Optionally let an agent reload a tab, or open a page, to look at a change it just made — it can never click, type or run anything • Off until you turn it on in Settings, paired with a secret, and limited to the tab in front of you unless you allow any tab SETTINGS Choose your capture defaults, output and retention options, and which optional tools appear. Settings is also where you can start a batch capture from the current window or up to 50 pasted addresses, find every keyboard shortcut, and leave a review, send feedback or get help. HISTORY Keep an optional on-device library of past captures. Search, filter by capture type, mark favorites, file captures into folders and download a folder as one ZIP, reopen or download results, delete with undo, and reassemble Slices ZIPs. Turn History off and only the newest result is retained until your next capture replaces it. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the webpage and click ScrollSnapshot. 2. Choose This screen, Full page, Slices, or Region. Use Settings for batch capture. 3. Capture, review, annotate, copy, or export the result. Close it and you are back on the page you captured. PRECISE BY DESIGN ScrollSnapshot reports the capture scale instead of silently lowering quality. When a page is too large for one browser image, Slices mode preserves full-resolution sections with overlap and a manifest of their exact page coordinates. Optional Turbo mode uses Chrome's DevTools protocol for one-shot full-page capture and responsive-width captures for Full page and Slices. Chrome shows its own debugging banner while Turbo is active. Turning Turbo off leaves every other capture mode available. PRIVATE AND LOCAL ScrollSnapshot has no server, no account, and no analytics. Screenshots are processed and stored on your device, and nothing is uploaded anywhere. If you turn on the optional agent connection, ScrollSnapshot hands what an agent asks for only to the agent server on your own computer; your agent may then send it to its AI provider, as it does with everything else you show it. WHAT'S NEW IN 1.3.0 • Draw on a region before you capture it: pen, arrows, boxes, highlights, text, steps and emoji in a toolbar beside the area; pick a mark up to move or delete it, then Capture, or Capture & edit to finish in the editor • Emoji in the editor: pick a common one or paste any other, then move, resize or turn it • Text for every capture, as plain text or Markdown, with a preview and .md and .txt downloads; each slice in a ZIP carries its own • Save a whole page as Markdown from the popup, or copy any text you select as Markdown with an optional bar • Add a short note to a region; it leads the capture's text • Connect your coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any MCP client), and send it marked-up captures with a note • Fixes: a region no longer picks up a pinned navbar from elsewhere on the page, text leaves out navbars and footers, and Markdown holds up on documentation, wiki and blog pages Privacy policy: https://syedzubair23.github.io/scrollsnapshot-site/privacy/ Product guides and support: https://syedzubair23.github.io/scrollsnapshot-site/ Built by Syed Zubair.
