CineMeta – Ratings Badges
Overview
Douban/IMDb/TMDb links plus Chinese film & director names on cinema and film-festival pages (UGC, MK2, Venice, BIFF).
CineMeta enriches the movie listings you already see on cinema and film-festival websites. Every film gets compact badges that open its page on Douban, IMDb or TMDb in one click. On cinema calendars and festival programmes it also displays the film's Chinese title and the director's Chinese name next to the original ones — each match is validated against the director and release year, and every displayed name is taken verbatim from the linked Douban entry. The extension works on French cinema websites and on the programmes of major international film festivals, including the Busan International Film Festival and the Venice Biennale Cinema. How it works: CineMeta reads the title and director already shown on the page, queries public movie databases (TMDb, IMDb and Douban), and inserts the result inline. Lookups are cached on your device so revisiting a page costs no network requests. No personal data is collected or transmitted; the only outbound requests are the film lookups themselves (title/director) sent to those public movie APIs.
