Overview

Automatically clears browsing history when all Chrome windows are closed.

Auto Clear History on Exit removes selected Chrome browsing data when you are done browsing. Start with the safe default, browsing history only, then decide whether cache, cookies, download history, form data, passwords, or local storage should be included. It is built for simple privacy: automatic cleanup, clear confirmation, and no browsing URLs stored or sent. If you need to stay signed in to important sites, add them to the Keep login list so their cookies are restored after cleanup. [What It Does] - Run automatically when Chrome closes - Use clear browsing data on exit with Safe, Standard, and Strong modes - Choose exactly what to remove: history, cache, cookies, downloads, form data, passwords, and local storage - Preserve login cookies for trusted sites such as Gmail, GitHub, Notion, Slack, and ChatGPT - See a last-cleanup report so you know it actually ran - Pause automatic cleanup for 30 minutes, 1 hour, the rest of today, or until you resume - Use Clear Now for one-click manual cleanup [Privacy and Safety] - Browsing URLs are not stored or sent - Settings stay in this browser - Default mode removes only local browsing history - Cookie cleanup warns you before signing you out of sites - Password cleanup requires confirmation - Startup fallback checks cleanup again after crashes or force quit [Best For] - Shared computer users - Work or school profiles - Privacy-conscious browsing - People who forget to manually clear history - Users who want automatic cleanup without breaking every login [Important Notes] - This extension removes local Chrome browsing data. It does not delete Google Account search history. To manage that, use Google's Web & App Activity setting. - On macOS, closing all windows may not quit Chrome. If Chrome is still running, cleanup is checked again the next time Chrome starts. - Clearing cookies can sign you out of websites. Add important sites to the Keep login list before using Strong mode.
