Overview

Tells the HeyBob app on this computer who is talking on your Google Meet calls. Nothing leaves your computer.

Meeting notes that know who said what. HeyBob takes notes on your calls without a bot ever joining the meeting. This extension adds one thing on Google Meet: it tells the HeyBob app who is talking, so every line in your notes carries the right person's name. No more "Speaker 1" and "Speaker 2". No more fixing names by hand after the call. Just clean notes where you can see who promised what. WHAT YOU GET - Real names on every line. When someone talks, HeyBob labels their words with the name Google Meet shows on their tile. - Follow-ups that land with the right person. HeyBob turns your call into action items, and now it knows who owns each one. - Works with any size call. One-on-ones, team standups, and big all-hands. - No bot in the room. Nobody sees a recorder join. Your call looks and feels exactly the same. - Nothing to set up. Install it, start recording in HeyBob, and join your Meet call as usual. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the HeyBob app for Mac, Windows, or Linux from heybob.ai and sign in. 2. Add this extension to Chrome. 3. Join a Google Meet call and start recording in HeyBob. While you are on the call, the extension watches the Meet page for who is speaking and passes their name to the HeyBob app on your computer. HeyBob matches each name to what was said, and your notes come out labelled. If the extension is not installed, HeyBob still records and takes notes. You just get generic speaker labels that you can rename yourself. YOUR PRIVACY We built this extension to do as little as possible. - It only runs on meet.google.com. It cannot see any other website you visit. - It only reads participant names and who is currently talking. It does not read chat messages, video, audio, or anything else on the page. - It never sends anything over the internet. Names go straight from the Meet tab to the HeyBob app on the same computer, and nowhere else. - It contains no ads, no tracking, and no analytics. - Other websites and other extensions cannot talk to it. What HeyBob does with your notes after that is covered by our privacy policy at https://heybob.ai/privacy.html. PERMISSIONS, IN PLAIN WORDS - "Read your data on meet.google.com": needed to see names on the call and who is speaking. That is the only site it can read. - "Communicate with cooperating native applications": lets the extension hand names to the HeyBob app installed on your computer. This is how it talks to HeyBob without using the internet. REQUIREMENTS - The HeyBob desktop app, version 0.1.20 or later, signed in to a HeyBob account. - Google Chrome, or another Chromium browser such as Edge or Brave. - Google Meet in the browser (not the phone app). ABOUT HEYBOB HeyBob is an AI teammate that does the work that wastes your day. It takes notes on any call, writes the follow-ups, and handles the busywork in Slack, Teams, and the HeyBob app. Learn more at https://heybob.ai. Questions or problems? Email support@heybob.ai.
