Overview
Pick pixel-accurate colors from any webpage: HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV, CMYK, history, palettes, and a WCAG contrast checker. 100% local.
HEXit is a fast, accurate color picker built for developers and designers who are tired of extensions that get the hex code slightly wrong. PICK COLORS ACCURATELY Uses the browser's native EyeDropper API to sample the real rendered pixel, including anti-aliased edges and gradients that trip up canvas-based pickers. On browsers without EyeDropper support, HEXit falls back to a screenshot-based picker with a zoomed magnifier loupe, correctly scaled for high-DPI displays. EVERY FORMAT YOU NEED Instantly view and copy HEX, RGB, RGBA, HSL, HSLA, HSV, and CMYK for any picked color, with one click to copy. BUILT-IN CONTRAST CHECKER Check any foreground/background pair against WCAG AA and AAA thresholds for both normal and large text, with a plain-language verdict, not just a bare ratio. HISTORY AND PALETTES Recently picked colors are saved automatically. Organize colors into named palettes and export them as CSS custom properties or JSON. PRIVACY FIRST 100% local. HEXit never sends your data anywhere, there is no network access, no tracking, and no account required. Everything is stored in your browser's local storage. KEYBOARD SHORTCUT Pick a color from anywhere with Alt+Shift+P, no need to open the popup first. Dark and light themes, with automatic system detection.
