HexBlock Shield blocks ads and trackers across the web using EasyList and EasyPrivacy filter lists, built entirely on Chrome's native declarativeNetRequest API — no external ad-blocking service, no telemetry. Features: Ad and tracker blocking (EasyList + EasyPrivacy) YouTube ad blocking and SponsorBlock integration (skip sponsor segments, intros, outros, self-promo) Twitch stream ad stripping Automatic detection of other ad blockers (uBlock Origin, AdBlock, Ghostery, etc.) to avoid duplicate rule conflicts Optional: connect to your own self-hosted HexBlock privacy gateway for centralized stats and filter list sync across devices HexBlock Shield works entirely standalone out of the box — connecting it to a HexBlock gateway is optional and requires you to enter your own server's URL. No data is sent anywhere unless you explicitly configure this.
