Cast a hexagram from selected text, an image address, or a link.
Hexagram Cast turns anything you find on the web into an I Ching casting. Select a passage of text, right-click, and cast a hexagram from it. Right-click an image or a link and cast from its address. If your selection contains two numbers, the extension uses the classical Plum Blossom number method; otherwise the text itself seeds the casting through a SHA-256 digest pipeline — the same engine that powers hexagramcast.com. Every casting is auditable: the site shows the full computation trace — the digest, the derived line values, and the changing lines — so you can verify that nothing is arbitrary. Coin and yarrow-stalk methods use their real classical probabilities (they differ, and we document exactly how). • Cast from selected text, images, links, or numbers in one right-click • Results open on hexagramcast.com with the full classical text: judgment, image, all six lines, and modern readings • The popup opens on today's hexagram — the day's lines, the line to sit with, and one open question • Sign in or create an account right in the extension to save castings and see your Deep Reading balance — no copying a token from the website • Works in 中文 too — the extension follows your browser's language, or you can set it yourself • No tracking, no analytics, no remote code — the extension only talks to hexagramcast.com Honest by design: the I Ching is a mirror for reflection, not a prediction machine, and we never pretend otherwise.
