Smart-open links, capture page or element wireframes, and send selections, images or colours to HelpyTools; make real HTTP requests.

Right-click anything in a page and it opens in the HelpyTools tool that handles it. That is the whole extension: it carries what you are looking at across to a tool, and does the few things a web page is not permitted to do on its own. What it adds: - Pick this colour. Reads the actual pixel you right-clicked, so it works on an image, a gradient, a canvas or a video frame, not only on elements that have a CSS colour. - Open this page in CSS Wireframe. Captures structure, not content. Right-click an element instead and it captures only that subtree, excluding its ancestors and siblings. - Smart Open. Follows the link you clicked, works out what kind of resource came back from its type, filename and content, and opens the tool that fits it. - Send selection. Hands the text you highlighted to whichever tool suits it. - Convert this image. Right-click any image to open it in the converter. - Extract this page's colour palette, from the toolbar button's right-click menu. - Send, in the HTTP Analyser. A web page cannot make an arbitrary cross-origin request and read the response. The extension performs the request from its own background worker, which holds the permission a page lacks. What it accesses: The bridge that talks to the tools runs only on helpytools.com. One small script loads on other sites, about seventy lines: it listens for right-clicks so that colour and element capture know where you clicked, because a context-menu click carries no coordinates of its own. It remembers one point, stores nothing, and sends nothing anywhere. Every other action reads only what you invoke it on: the link you opened, the image you right-clicked, the text you selected, the page you captured. Colour picking screenshots the visible tab at the moment you click the menu item, reads one pixel from it in memory, and discards it immediately. Chrome lists this extension as collecting website content and user activity. That is Google's definition of collection, which counts data read on your own device: the page you ask it to capture, and the position of your right-click.
