PaperOffice Tools – PDF Reader
Overview
Open and read PDFs locally in the PaperOffice Reader, no account needed. AI tools require a PaperOffice AI account.
PaperOffice Tools opens PDFs from the web in the PaperOffice Reader – with one click on the toolbar icon or via the context menu on a PDF link. What you can do: • Open the PDF in the current tab or a linked PDF in the PaperOffice Reader • Read, search, highlight, comment, sign and organise pages • Tools that work locally in your browser without an account: compress, protect with a password, add a watermark, redact, compare and more – nothing is uploaded • “Send PDF to PaperOffice”: save a PDF to your PaperOffice account (sign-in required) • AI tools such as summaries, deadlines, data extraction, OCR and translation with a PaperOffice AI account. No specific plan is required. Usage is billed to your PaperOffice AI account as usual. • Optional: always open PDFs in the PaperOffice Reader (off by default) Privacy: The extension does not collect data and stores no account. A PDF is handed directly to the PaperOffice Reader in your browser. It only leaves your browser when you choose “Send PDF to PaperOffice” or start an AI tool and confirm the transfer in the Reader after signing in. Permissions: The extension only reads a page after an action of yours (toolbar icon or context menu). Access to all websites is requested only when you switch on “Always open PDFs in the PaperOffice Reader”, and it is removed again when you switch the option off.
