Overview

Compare the heights of people, animals, objects and characters on one accurately scaled chart — from any page, in one click.

HeightScale — Visual Height Comparison See the difference. Don't do the maths. "He's 185 cm. She's 170." Two numbers, and still no picture in your head. Height only becomes real when you see it — side by side, drawn to one honest scale. That is what HeightScale does, wherever you already are. ONE CHART, ONE SCALE Put any two things on the board — or twenty — and HeightScale draws them on one baseline with a ruler up both sides: centimetres on the left, feet and inches on the right. Everything shares one scale. Nothing is quietly resized to fit its slot, because that would make the comparison a lie — when a board runs out of room, the whole chart shrinks together and the proportions stay exact. Select any two subjects and HeightScale measures the gap in both unit systems at once, plus the ratio between them: "LeBron James is 28 cm / 11 in taller than Me · 1.16× the height." RIGHT-CLICK ANY PAGE This is what a website can't do for you. The question almost always arrives while you're reading something else — a player profile, a dinosaur page, a furniture listing. Highlight a name, right-click, and HeightScale adds it to your board. If it recognises the name from its built-in list of nearly 200 widely reported heights — athletes, actors, musicians, historical figures, fictional characters — it fills the height in for you. Every value is editable, and labelled as a reported height rather than a measurement. Right-click an image and it becomes a subject you can scale to any real-world height. No tab to find, no site to remember, no losing your place. 380+ THINGS TO COMPARE The bundled library covers people of every build, age and pose; average adult heights for 27 countries; child growth year by year; dogs by breed, farm and wild animals, birds and marine life; dinosaurs; furniture and everyday objects; sports fixtures; bikes, cars, buses, aircraft and rockets; houses, towers and world landmarks; trees and plants; and a fantasy set. Everything is drawn as a clean silhouette in one consistent style, and proportioned honestly. Four-legged animals are quoted at the shoulder, the way animals are actually measured. Things quoted by length — whales, sharks, crocodiles, airliners — stand on end so their real size reads against the ruler. You can also import your own transparent PNG and scale it to a height you choose. UNITS THAT NEVER GET IN THE WAY Switch between centimetres and feet-and-inches whenever you like — nothing is lost, because heights are stored once and only displayed in your chosen system. Type a height however you think about it: 180, 1.8 m, 5'11", 71in — or in your own language: 1,8 м, 180 センチ, 5 pieds 11 pouces. It understands all of them. START IN ONE CLICK Sixteen ready-made boards get you going immediately: T-Rex versus a human, a basketball hoop, a blue whale, the world's landmarks, dogs from Chihuahua to Great Dane, a family, national averages, and more. Save your own height once and reuse it anywhere. Keep several named boards, reorder subjects by dragging or with the keyboard, sort them tallest-first, recolour them, add notes. SHARE IT Export a clean PNG, or copy the chart straight to your clipboard and paste it into a message, a document or a slide. You can also save a board as a file and reopen it later. WHEREVER YOU WANT IT Use the toolbar popup for a quick comparison. Open the full board for serious work, with zoom, a searchable library and full editing. Or pin the side panel beside the page you're reading. All three share the same boards and update together, and everything autosaves. IN YOUR LANGUAGE HeightScale is fully translated into 43 languages — not just the buttons, but every one of the 380+ library items. Search for a subject in your own language and you'll find it. Arabic, Hebrew and Persian lay out right-to-left properly. The interface is keyboard-operable throughout, colour is never the only signal, and it respects your dark-mode and reduced-motion preferences. PRIVATE BY DESIGN HeightScale requests no host permissions and has no network permission at all — it is technically incapable of sending your data anywhere. Your boards, your own height and any images you import stay on your device. It reads a page only when you choose one of its right-click items, on that tab alone. It never collects browsing history, and works completely offline. Install HeightScale and stop guessing what a number looks like.
