Overview

Get your reading library out of Fable and into Goodreads, StoryGraph or Pagebound. Everything runs in your own browser.

ShelfBridge gets your reading library out of Fable, so you can take it somewhere else. Fable has no export feature of its own, so once your books are in there they're stuck. This is the tool for getting them out. You can send your library to: Goodreads StoryGraph Pagebound You don't have to pick just one. Your library stays in the extension after you download, so you can come back and export again for somewhere else whenever you like. How it works: Click Connect to Fable. ShelfBridge uses your existing Fable login, so there's no password to hand over. You sign in on Fable's own site. ShelfBridge reads your Finished, Currently Reading and Want to Read shelves, including titles, authors, ISBNs, start and finish dates and ratings. Cover images are fetched too, for the review screen. Review and edit the list. Fix dates, set ratings including half stars, and remove anything you don't want to take with you. Pick where it's going and download the file. The extension tells you what comes across for that destination and walks you through importing it. What comes across: your shelves, your ratings, and the date you finished each book. Half-star ratings are kept on Pagebound. Start dates can't be carried by any of these apps' import formats, so they're left blank wherever you send your library. Your data stays with you. ShelfBridge has no backend, no analytics and no tracking. Everything happens in your browser. The only network calls are to Fable's own services (api.fable.co), as your authenticated user, exactly as Fable's web app does. Open source under the MIT License.
