Scientific name (possibly): Hystrix brachyura (Asian long-haired porcupine) Asia, especially common in Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia...) Porcupines have large bodies, thick fur, with long, hard spines alternating in white and black. The spines grow concentrated on the back and tail, when threatened, porcupines can bristle to threaten enemies. The surrounding environment is forests or grass, porcupines are usually nocturnal.
