Arrange widgets however you like, keep your favorite sites close in a magnifying dock, choose a wallpaper that feels alive, and open your browser to a space that feels like your own. ✨ Widgets for the things you actually use 🕰 Clock - choose from digital, flip, analogue, and glass styles ⛅ Weather - check forecasts and air quality for multiple saved cities 📝 Notes - write in Markdown, create checklists, and keep notes organized with Archive and Trash 🍅 Pomodoro - stay focused with timed work sessions and breaks 🗂 App Grid - organize your favorite websites into folders and categories ▶️ Media - see what is playing in another tab and control it without switching away 📐 Every widget adapts to its size Widgets are not simply stretched when you resize them. Each size, from 1×1 to 6×6, has its own layout. A small widget stays focused and simple. Give it more room, and it can show additional details, controls, or lists. 🎨 Make it feel like yours 🧲 Free Grid - drag, resize, and arrange everything freely 🪟 Spaces - create separate screens for work, home, or anything else 🚀 Dock - macOS-style magnification, dividers, and drag-to-reorder 🖼 Wallpapers - use your own images or choose an animated WebGL background 🌗 Day and Night - smoothly shift your wallpaper between daytime and darker evening looks 💎 Glass Effects - widget edges subtly refract the wallpaper beneath them, while Transparent, Solid, and Gradient fills give you simpler alternatives 🎭 Themes - save your layout, wallpaper, and accent color together ♿ Accessibility - light and dark widget text, wallpaper tinting, and reduced-motion support 🔒 Private by design HearthUI does not require an account. There is no sign-in, and there is no HearthUI server storing your information. Your notes, bookmarks, settings, and layouts stay in your browser’s local storage and remain on your device. Saved Clock themes use Chrome’s extension sync storage, allowing them to follow your signed-in Chrome profile. HearthUI connects to external services only when it needs information the browser cannot provide on its own: 🌦 Open-Meteo - weather forecasts 📍 BigDataCloud - converts your coordinates into a city name 🔤 Google Fonts - provides additional typefaces 🔗 Simple Icons, Iconify, DuckDuckGo, or Google - finds logos for websites you add When an icon service is used, that service may see the domain for which an icon is requested. You can choose which icon source HearthUI uses. Everything else stays local. 🔑 Permissions HearthUI’s core permissions cover: - Local data and settings - Weather location - Website icons used in the Dock Location access is used only by the Weather widget to identify your current city, and only after you allow it. The `tabs` and `scripting` permissions are optional. HearthUI requests them only if you enable playback controls for the Media widget. They allow the extension to identify the currently playing tab and send play, pause, or skip commands. If you do not use this feature, these permissions are never requested. 🚫 HearthUI does not use remote code.
