HearHere reads the web out loud. Select any text and press Read, or turn on Hover Read and simply rest your cursor on a paragraph. HearHere highlights it and reads it to you. Pause, resume, stop and change speed from a small player at the corner of the page. HOW YOU USE IT • Select → Read: highlight text and a Read button appears next to it. • Hover Read: rest your cursor on a paragraph to hear it. • Speed from 0.75× to 2×, changed instantly while reading. • Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+R reads, Alt+Shift+Space pauses, Esc stops, Alt+Shift+H toggles Hover Read. • Right-click any selection and choose "Read aloud with HearHere". VOICES • System voice: free and offline, built into your computer. • OpenAI or ElevenLabs: natural, lifelike voices using your own API key. You pay the provider directly; HearHere adds nothing on top. Pick any voice, including your own ElevenLabs clones. KEEPS YOUR API BILL SMALL • Audio is generated one sentence ahead, so stopping early doesn't waste credits. • Speed changes never cost extra. • Anything you've heard is cached, so replays are free. • A daily character limit, a check before long reads, and Hover Read guards so moving your mouse around never runs up a bill. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, no analytics, no HearHere servers. Your API keys stay on your computer and are only ever sent to the provider they belong to.
