Transcribe live tab audio with Gemini and expose it to browser agents through WebMCP.

Turn live audio in the current Chrome tab into private, incremental transcript context for WebMCP-aware browser agents. Hear My Browser lets you listen to a video, lesson, webinar, or browser meeting, transcribe it with your own Gemini or OpenAI API key, and make the live transcript available to a compatible browser agent. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open an HTTPS page with audio. 2. Click the Hear My Browser toolbar icon. 3. Choose Gemini or OpenAI and add your own provider API key. 4. Select Save & start to begin capturing the current tab. 5. Read the transcript in the popup or let a WebMCP-aware agent retrieve new transcript segments. 6. Select Stop to release capture immediately. THREE WEBMCP TOOLS • start_browser_transcription starts the session for the current tab. • get_browser_transcript returns incremental transcript segments with a cursor. • stop_browser_transcription ends the session and releases captured media. PRIVACY BY DESIGN • Capture starts only after an explicit toolbar action. • Audio streams directly from the extension to the transcription provider selected by the user; it never passes through a developer server. • Raw audio is not recorded. • There are no ads, analytics, telemetry, or remote logging. • Provider settings and the API key are stored only in the local Chrome profile. • Transcript state uses Chrome session storage and does not survive a browser restart. • The extension does not inspect page content or maintain browsing history. REQUIREMENTS • Chrome 150 or later with the current WebMCP testing capability enabled. • A user-supplied Gemini or OpenAI API key. • An HTTPS page containing audible media.
