Overview

Add, remove, and modify request and response headers.

HeaderPilot — HTTP header editor for Chrome HeaderPilot lets you add, remove, and modify HTTP request headers directly in your browser — no proxy, no DevTools tricks, no restarting the browser. It's built for developers, QA engineers, and API testers who need to simulate authentication tokens, override CORS headers, spoof user agents, test feature flags, or debug how a site behaves under different header conditions. Why install it: - Full control over headers — Add new headers, override existing ones, or strip headers out of any request. - One-click global toggle — Instantly turn all header rules on or off without deleting your setup. - Per-header switches — Enable or disable individual rules without touching the rest of your configuration. - URL scoping — Apply rules to every site, or restrict them to specific URLs using regex patterns, so your changes only fire where you need them. - Profiles — Save multiple header configurations (e.g., "staging," "prod," "mobile UA") and switch between them instantly instead of re-entering values. - Runs locally, stays private — Rules are processed entirely in your browser using Chrome's declarativeNetRequest API. HeaderPilot doesn't send your browsing data Whether you're testing an API integration, debugging CORS issues, working around a missing backend flag, or reproducing a bug that only shows up with a specific header, HeaderPilot gives you a fast, reliable way to control exactly what goes out — and comes back — on the wire.
