Explica explains words and sentences in the language you're learning, while you read anything on the web. Highlight a word on a news article, a paper, a recipe or an email, and get an explanation IN that language — not a translation. Pronunciation, how the word is actually used, synonyms, register, and an example sentence. Highlight a whole sentence and it is laid out in its own words, each part labelled — subject, verb, object — with a short note on why it is built that way: the word order that differs from your language, the agreement, the case ending, the tense. Not "the verb comes second", but which word that is, in the sentence in front of you. The point is that you stay in the language. A translation ends your thinking; an explanation continues it. WRITING HELP THAT DOESN'T WRITE FOR YOU Ask for help while writing and Explica points at what to fix and why — the tense that's wrong, the word that doesn't fit the register. It never hands you a finished paragraph, because a finished paragraph teaches nothing.
