Hi, the keyboard shortcuts no longer change the speed of videos.

This plugin gives me an error in dev tools console

When the plugin is enabled I have an error in dev tools console like this:
Unchecked runtime.lastError: The message port closed before a response was received.
This is a bit uncomfortable for a developer.

Hitting + or - changes caption size instead of speed

Hi there,

I’m trying to use the extension, but when I press the "+" key (shift + =), it only shows a preview of the changed caption size instead of performing the speeding up the video (same goes for "-".

Could you please look into this?

Ability to 2x video speed when pressing a key

I really like how on the YouTube native iOS app, you can temporarily set the video speed to 200% to skip boring parts. I think this extension could provide something similar, allowing users to keeps a key pressed to double the speed temporarily.

Please add Shortcut keys that dont overlap with youtube keys.

Could you please add the ability to use [ and ] as shortcuts.

I dont have a number pad on my laptop so I am using + and - to adjust speed .
I love the functionality but hate that it also changed my caption size.
There are other options but most of them overlap with functionality on youtube. For example any number 0-9 changed my location in the video

The [ and ] keys are directly below + and - on most laptops so it is easy to find and remember. And most importantly most websites ignore these key presses.

Videos sometimes automatically start at 16x speed

This is on Edge. I have tried having 'remember speed' turned on or off and it doesn't make a difference to the problem.

Sometimes, when I start watching a video, it acts as normal. Other times, I'll click on a video and it will start playing at 16x speed. This has been going on for maybe 2 or so months now. I've tried playing aorund with settings but none of them fix the problem.

Love the extension other than this problem.

Saving settings only when all youtube tabs are closed

There is no information explaining why settings cannot be saved when YouTube is open. Please add a note to the "Save Settings" tab indicating that users must close all YouTube tabs to save changes. Alternatively, ensure that settings can be saved even when YouTube is open.

The tool isn't always present

Sometimes, when I open a youtube video, the speed control isn't there, I must refresh the page in order to the tool load correctly. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens frequently
