Unlost Chats keeps your AI conversations on your own computer, so a chat that disappears from the site is still yours. How it works Open a chat on ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and Unlost Chats saves the conversation on screen once the reply has finished. Read it again later and the copy updates. A green tick on the Unlost Chats icon shows that the chat on screen is saved. It saves what you are already looking at. It never loads your other chats, never calls those sites' servers, and never retries in the background, so it stays light and quiet. One search across all three Type once in the toolbar and see matching chats from ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini together, with the match highlighted. Open any result as a clean, readable page, copy it as Markdown, or jump back to the original. When a chat goes missing If you open a saved chat and the site sends you away because it no longer has it, Unlost Chats marks it "Gone from site". Your copy stays readable: "No longer on chatgpt.com. Your copy is here." If you edit an earlier message or regenerate an answer, the version you had before is kept too (the last 5 earlier versions of each chat). Nothing leaves your computer No account, no server, no analytics. Chats are encrypted in Chrome's local storage. It runs only on chatgpt.com, claude.ai and gemini.google.com. Switch it off per site or pause it. Free and Pro Free shows and searches the chats you have opened in the last 7 days. Older chats stay saved on your computer. Pro (£19, one payment, the same key as Unlost, Unlost Text and Unlost Clipboard) shows and searches every saved chat, however old, and exports them all as Markdown or JSON. What it does not do (yet) It saves chats you open in this browser from the time you install it; it does not import your old history. Text only: images, files and attachments are not kept. Only chats you open are saved. Permissions Storage, to keep your chats on this computer. Site access to chatgpt.com, claude.ai and gemini.google.com only, to read the conversation on the page. Chrome shows this as "Read and change your data on chatgpt.com, claude.ai, and gemini.google.com". It reads the conversation and changes nothing on those pages. Made in the UK by Bright Loop Media.
