Olingal helps you learn a language from the pages you read. Translate selected text, mark matching words from your active dictionaries, and save useful vocabulary for later review. Read with support Automatic detection is available for submitted translations. For webpage word detection and dictionaries, choose a specific reading language; Olingal does not substitute English when Auto is selected. Choose a reading language and a meaning language. Word detection uses your browser's language segmentation and the dictionaries you enable. It recognizes exact words, rather than promising every inflection or language-learning level. Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Myanmar automatic word detection needs a browser with the appropriate word segmentation. You can exclude websites in settings. Keep your own review cards Open Save for review to check or edit the word, meaning, original sentence, page link/title and optional pronunciation. Only Save sends that card to your account. Review cards and their schedules are private to your account, separate from the shared dictionary. Reveal an answer and choose Again, Hard, Good or Easy to set the next review. Pronunciation uses your browser's available voice service when you press its audio control. Use translation and AI tools deliberately Translate submitted text, ask a language question, request a page summary or mind map, and use writing, reply and grammar tools. Available models come from the service. Credit labels distinguish an actual account quote from an unavailable or base quote. A completed request replay does not charge again; a confirmed failed generation releases its reservation. Stopping the display does not confirm server cancellation. Retry checks the saved status or result; a result the server ultimately completes and saves is charged. How your information is used Olingal uses your account identity and authentication session to provide these connected features. Reading assistance analyzes page text on your device and can send matching dictionary words and their language pair for translation, with word-learning counts for your account. Text you submit to translation, chat or writing, and readable page text you explicitly submit with a summary or mind-map action, goes through Olingal to the provider serving that request. Request and credit records support results, history and accounting. New review-card context may be held temporarily in memory from selected text, a focused text field, a translation submission or opening its save form. Its confirmed sentence, page URL/title, meaning, languages and pronunciation are uploaded only when you choose Save; review answers and due times are synchronized with your account. Saving a card does not itself send that context to an AI provider. The extension does not use the Chrome history API to upload your browsing history. Olingal does not sell browsing information or use it for advertising. Sign in through Olingal's website. Do not submit information you do not want the service or its request provider to process.
