Teaching Chinese over Google Meet? You already type every new word into the chat. HanLexa Class turns that into the class list. Type a word in the Meet chat and pause. It appears in the panel beside the call with its pinyin, its translation and its HSK level already attached. By the end of the lesson the list is finished — no retyping, no rebuilding it in a spreadsheet that evening. WHAT IT DOES • Captures the Chinese you type into Meet chat, automatically • Adds pinyin, a translation and an HSK level to every word • Keeps one list per class, filed by date, ready to rename or reopen • Publishes a list as a link your students open in any browser — nothing for them to install, no account to create • Exports to CSV for Excel, or to a deck for Anki, in one click • Interface in English, Spanish and Portuguese HOW IT WORKS Open a Google Meet call and the HanLexa Class panel appears beside it. Teach the way you always do. When you type Chinese into the chat and pause for a moment, the word is added to the list — you never have to send the message, and you never leave the call. You can also add words by hand, edit any translation, reorder the list, or drop anything you did not mean to keep. TRANSLATIONS Translations are Spanish or Portuguese, chosen per class with the Student switch — this is a tool for teaching Chinese to Spanish and Portuguese speakers. The interface itself is available in English, Spanish and Portuguese, independently of the language your students read. The dictionary — around 58,000 entries — is bundled inside the extension. Lookups happen on your own machine and keep working with no connection at all. PRIVACY The extension reads only what you type into the Meet chat composer. It does not read other participants' messages, it never touches audio or video, and there is no account to sign in to. Your class lists are stored in your own browser. Nothing is sent anywhere until you press Share. When you do, only that list goes to lexa.hanflow.app to create the link: the words, their pinyin, their translations, their HSK levels, and the name you gave the class.
