## Overview **Read. Capture. Remember.** Turn the web into your personal library of useful ideas. HandyBar helps you read articles without distractions, save important passages with their original sources, and find your notes again when you need them. Everything lives in Chrome's side panel, right next to the page you're reading. No scattered notes. No lost highlights. No need to switch between tools just to keep what matters. ### READ WITHOUT DISTRACTIONS • Turn cluttered articles into clean, easy-to-read text. HandyBar offers reading mode on pages it recognizes as articles. • Switch any website to dark mode with one click, making late-night reading more comfortable. ### CAPTURE WHAT MATTERS • Select any text on a webpage and save it as a highlight with its source page. • Save highlights using the context menu, right-click, or `Alt+Shift+S`. • Add quick notes to remember ideas, observations, or things you want to explore later. • Open a saved highlight to return to the exact passage that caught your attention. ### FIND YOUR NOTES AGAIN • Search your notes and highlights when you need to revisit an idea. • Edit notes or undo accidental deletions. • Keep your notes and their source pages together, so useful information doesn't lose its context. ### KEEP YOUR BROWSING ORGANIZED • Save a group of tabs as a named session, then close them to clear your workspace. • Save individual tabs and organize them by website. • Reopen a single page or restore an entire session whenever you need it. ### STAY FOCUSED • Use the Pomodoro timer with 25/5, 50/10, or custom work and break intervals. • Block distracting websites during focus sessions, with a five-minute temporary unblock when needed. • Get a soft chime when a session ends and see the remaining time on HandyBar's toolbar icon. • Your timer keeps running even when the side panel is closed. ### USE THE TOOLS YOU NEED • Zoom in or out, print pages, or save them as PDFs. • Capture a screenshot of the visible page or select a specific area. • Take a quick tour on first use and customize your tools in Settings. ### PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your notes, saved tabs, and settings stay on your computer. Optional, anonymous usage statistics help improve HandyBar only after you opt in. They never include the pages you visit or the text you type.
