Oak Donut is the new name for Kapture IT, from the same publisher, Kalidonis LLC. Existing users keep their current installation and settings. Oak Donut captures the whole webpage — not just what fits on screen — and saves it to your device as a PNG or PDF. Capture content is not uploaded to Kalidonis LLC or a third-party capture service. It scrolls the active page, assembles every section into one image, puts the page back where it found it, and shows you the result before you save it. Built for work that needs a dependable record of a rendered page: website documentation, QA, design review, support tickets, change-management evidence, marketing archives, and accessibility preflight. WHAT YOU GET - A full-page PNG at the highest resolution the browser can safely produce. - A paginated Letter PDF, generated locally. - An optional one-page Capture Report PDF: thumbnail, final URL, viewport, output dimensions, timestamp, section count, automated findings, space for reviewer notes, and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the exact PNG. - Free Site Batch: discover same-domain pages, edit the list as a CSV, and capture up to three per run. YOUR CAPTURES STAY ON YOUR DEVICE Screenshot pixels are assembled in the extension's own memory and written only to a download you start. There is no capture server, no analytics, no advertising, no telemetry, and no remotely loaded code. Kalidonis LLC never receives your screenshots, page text, page URLs, cookies, or form values. Site Batch is the one feature that reaches the network. It requests access to a single domain when you start discovery or batch capture on it, and you can revoke that access from the same screen. The requests it makes go to that website, to find its pages — not to Kalidonis LLC. If you turn on signed-in discovery, it uses your existing session with that site, the same way your browser would. IT TELLS YOU WHEN A CAPTURE CANNOT BE TRUSTED Most capture tools hand you an image and let you discover later that it stitched two different page states together. Before every section, Oak Donut confirms it is still on the tab, window, and URL you started from, that the page has not moved, and that the screenshot matches the viewport it measured. If a rotating hero or carousel changes mid-capture, it stops rather than assemble a mixed image. If the result comes out nearly blank, it says so instead of saving it. These checks make a capture reviewable. They are not a legal or evidentiary certification, and they say nothing about whether the page itself was accurate, complete, or unaltered before capture. Review anything important before relying on it or passing it on. FREE SITE BATCH Enter a domain. Oak Donut finds same-domain pages from sitemap files and bounded link discovery, lists them for review, and exports an editable CSV. Edit it in a spreadsheet, upload it back, run a test capture on the first page, then capture your selected pages and download a results CSV recording the final URL, page title, viewport, output size, capture time, section count, integrity status, and fingerprint for each one. Every imported row is validated locally. External domains, unsupported URL schemes, duplicates, and malformed entries are rejected before any capture runs. ACCESSIBILITY PREFLIGHT Automated preflight checks, organized by the WCAG 2.2 principles of Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust, flag signals such as missing image alternatives, an absent document language, unlabeled form controls, duplicate element IDs, and broken ARIA references. On Free, preflight runs on single-page captures. Site Batch captures do not include it. Choosing which categories to run, and running them in a batch, are planned Pro capabilities. Automated checks cannot evaluate every success criterion or determine conformance. This is a preflight aid, not a WCAG certification, accessibility audit, or legal opinion. Human testing with a keyboard and a screen reader remains necessary. WHAT IT CANNOT DO Chrome blocks extensions from capturing browser-internal pages, the Chrome Web Store, and certain other protected surfaces. Very large pages may be downscaled, or rejected, to stay inside safe browser memory limits. Infinite scroll, virtualized lists, canvas, WebGL, cross-origin frames, and pages with several competing scroll areas can produce incomplete output. Oak Donut does not open menus, dismiss dialogs, expand accordions, advance carousel slides, or play video. It captures what is rendered. The target tab must stay active, because Chrome only captures the visible tab. Oak Donut stops if you switch away or the page navigates. PDF output uses Letter pages built from images, so the text in a PDF is not selectable. SIGNED-IN PAGES Oak Donut can capture pages you are already signed in to, in a tab you already have open. It does not read, store, or transmit your password, cookies, or authentication tokens, and it does not bypass any login, access control, or website permission. A screenshot contains whatever is visible on screen. Protect downloads that hold personal, confidential, regulated, or proprietary information.
