You can then click a button on your toolbar to securely share this information with verified third party hackathons and events where they can quickly sign you up or give you a tailored experience based on your details. Nothing is stored externally, and the verification process is an external server which is in a sandboxed environment and cannot access your data. The only person who can access your data is you and the sites you explicitly authorise.
