Generate tailored resumes and cover letters from job descriptions
H2O Resume Generator helps job seekers create tailored resumes and cover letters from job postings while browsing. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install and run the local H2O server: npx h2o-agent 2. Fill in career_profile.md in your server working directory 3. On any job page, select the job description text 4. Use the floating button or right-click “Generate Resume with H2O” 5. Enter a job name and choose a PDF theme 6. Files are written locally by your H2O server (Markdown + PDF) KEY FEATURES • Select job text on any webpage • Right-click and floating-button shortcuts • Multiple PDF themes (Classic, Modern, Minimal, Executive, Newspaper) • Regenerate PDFs with a new theme without re-running AI • Job history and status polling in the popup • Privacy-first: data stays on your machine REQUIREMENTS • Chrome • Local H2O server (npm package: h2o-agent) running on http://localhost:3000 • Cursor CLI agent available as “agent” for resume generation • A filled-in career_profile.md on the machine running the server PRIVACY • Job data is stored in Chrome local storage and sent only to your localhost H2O server • No H2O cloud backend, no ads, no third-party analytics in the extension SUPPORT • GitHub: https://github.com/chandu1310/h2o • Issues: https://github.com/chandu1310/h2o/issues
