Gyroscape Browser Use
Overview
Connects Gyroscape desktop to Chrome for local browser smoke testing.
Gyroscape Browser Use connects the Gyroscape desktop app to Chrome so Gyroscape can run real browser smoke tests in dedicated Chrome sessions. It is built for developers and teams using Gyroscape to validate local or hosted web apps with actual Chrome behavior. The extension lets Gyroscape open a test browser window, navigate to a URL, inspect page state, click, type, scroll, capture screenshots, and report visible results back to the Gyroscape testing workflow. Why install it: - Run browser QA from Gyroscape desktop. - Test local development servers and hosted HTTPS apps. - Use dedicated test sessions instead of taking over your active tabs. - Capture screenshots and page evidence for test reports. - Configure the local backend endpoint from the extension options page. - Keep browser automation tied to the Gyroscape desktop app. Privacy and security: Gyroscape Browser Use does not run tests by itself. It only acts on commands from the configured Gyroscape backend, which defaults to a local loopback endpoint. Browser page data captured during testing is returned to the configured Gyroscape backend for the active test session. The extension is intended for testing sites and apps you own or are authorized to test. Requires the Gyroscape desktop app.
