Guided Typography Reader
Overview
Reformats web page text with Guided Typography to help readers with dyslexia and reading difficulties.
Guided Typography Reader transforms any webpage into a more readable experience using the Guided Typography method — which bolds the first portion of each word to guide your eyes naturally through the text, reducing cognitive load and improving reading flow. Designed for readers with dyslexia, ADHD, or anyone who wants a faster, more focused reading experience. FEATURES ✔ Applies Guided Typography to any webpage with one click ✔ Focus Mode — dims the page and creates a reading window around your cursor, so you only see the line you're reading ✔ Uses Atkinson Hyperlegible — a font specifically designed for low-vision readers ✔ Bold depth slider — control how much of each word is bolded ✔ Adjustable line spacing for improved readability ✔ Skips headings, already-bold text, and navigation elements ✔ Toggle the font on or off — use the site's native font if you prefer ✔ Works across all websites automatically HOW TO USE Click the Guided Typography Reader icon in your Chrome toolbar Toggle the extension on Enable Focus Mode for a distraction-free reading window Adjust bold depth and spacing to your preference Read comfortably on any site Guided Typography Reader is a free tool created by AntonyM Copeland as part of the Guided Typography project — a collection of accessible reading resources, tools, and formatted public domain books for neurodiverse readers.
