Group Notification Manager for Facebook provides a centralized Chrome side panel for reviewing and managing group notification preferences. Instead of changing notification settings one group at a time, the extension displays scanned groups in one organized interface. Scanning starts only when the user clicks the “Scan groups” button. Changes are prepared as drafts and are not applied until the user reviews and explicitly confirms them. Open the Facebook Groups feed: https://www.facebook.com/groups/feed/ 2. Wait for the Groups page to load completely. 3. Click the gear icon located in the upper-left area of the Groups page. 4. Select “Customize notifications” from the menu. Depending on your interface language, this option may appear as “Bildirimleri özelleştir.” 5. Keep the Group Notifications window open. 6. Open Group Notification Manager for Facebook by clicking its icon in Chrome’s extensions toolbar. If the icon is hidden, click Chrome’s puzzle-piece Extensions button and select the extension. You can also pin it to the toolbar for easier access. 7. The extension will open in Chrome’s side panel. 8. Click the “Scan groups” button inside the extension. The extension does not scan automatically. Scanning begins only after this button is clicked. 9. Keep the Group Notifications window open while the scan is running. The extension will read the group names and visible notification settings from this window. 10. Wait for the scan to finish. You can monitor the number of groups found while scanning. If you stop the scan early, groups already found will be preserved. 11. Use the search field to find specific groups. You can also filter the list by: • All • Will Change • Currently On • Already Off 12. Sort the visible groups alphabetically or in reverse alphabetical order. 13. Choose a new notification setting individually for each group, or use one of the bulk setting buttons: • All Posts • Highlights • Friends’ Posts • Off Bulk settings apply only to the groups currently visible in the selected search and filter results. For example, you can search for a keyword, select “Currently On,” and then apply “Off” only to those visible groups. 14. Review the draft changes. No settings are modified while you are preparing the draft. 15. Click “Apply changes” when ready. 16. Review the confirmation screen, including the number of groups that will change, groups that will remain unchanged, and the selected target settings. 17. Click “Confirm and start” to begin applying the changes. 18. Monitor the progress from the side panel. You can pause, resume, or stop the operation at any time. 19. When the operation finishes, review the result report. Groups are categorized as Verified, Review Required, Skipped, or Failed. OPERATION PACING AND RESPONSIBLE USE The extension intentionally applies notification changes at a controlled pace instead of performing rapid consecutive actions. A randomized waiting period of approximately 2 to 5 seconds is used between setting updates and verification steps. This pacing is designed to reduce rapid repetitive interactions and create a more gradual operation flow. The randomized delay does not guarantee that automated activity will not be detected, rate-limited, interrupted, or restricted by Facebook or Meta. Platform interfaces, limits, policies, and automated protection systems may change at any time. Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the extension complies with all applicable Facebook and Meta terms, rules, policies, and account restrictions. The extension is used entirely at the user’s own discretion and risk. The developer is not responsible for temporary restrictions, account limitations, failed operations, lost access, or other consequences resulting from use of the extension. Users should review the number of selected groups before confirming an operation and avoid running unnecessary or excessively large bulk changes. PRIVACY The extension processes group names, group URLs, visible notification settings, drafts, snapshots, and operation results only to provide its user-facing functionality. All extension data is stored locally in the user’s browser through chrome.storage.local. The extension does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking services. It does not transmit user data to the developer or third parties and does not request passwords or authentication credentials.
