Overview
Guide the blue ball to the green exit before time runs out. Each level brings a bigger random grid.
Grid Escape is a fast, timed escape game that lives in your browser toolbar. Click the icon and the game opens in a popup, ready to play. There's no sign-up and no new tab. The goal is simple: guide the glowing blue ball from the top-left corner to the green exit in the bottom-right corner before the 20-second clock runs out. Every level is a brand-new, randomly generated grid of walls, so no two runs are the same. Clear a level and the next grid grows one row and one column bigger, with more turns and dead ends to get through in the same 20 seconds. Can you make it to level 10 or beyond? It gets really hard! HOW TO PLAY • Move with the arrow keys or W/A/S/D • Keep an eye on the stats bar and the timer bar at the top; the bar turns red in the last 5 seconds • Reach the green exit to unlock the next level • Press Restart at any time to try the current level again with a fresh grid • When a round ends, press Next Level (or Try Again), or press Enter or Space to continue • Press Start Over on the end screen to go back to level 1 FEATURES • New random layout every round, sized to your current level • Live level, time and move counters while you play • A faint trail shows where you've already been • End screen with your grid size, time and moves • Your level is saved, so you can pick up where you left off Have fun with Grid Escape! When a round ends, click "Check Shortest Path" below your results to see the quickest route through that grid. For even more fun, try our other game extensions, listed at the bottom of the end screen.
