Rubric-based grading feedback for teachers. Grade Google Docs or pasted text, with optional Canvas write-back.

Gradenote is a Chrome side panel that helps you grade writing against a rubric. Open a Google Doc, or paste essay text, then grade it in the side panel. Gradenote suggests scores by criterion, short feedback, and quotes from the work. You review everything before you share it. Nothing is published unless you choose to. This is a pilot build: • Sign-in asks for an email only (no password). It is a display name for the session, not a verified account. • Course, assignment, and student lists are sample data, not your school's live Canvas. • "Publish to Canvas" writes to this demo's own gradebook, not a real course. Document or pasted text is sent to Gradenote's server and to Google's Gemini API to generate feedback. That text is not kept after grading finishes. Install if you want to try rubric-based feedback next to student work. You stay in control of every grade.
