Tidy Tab Office turns the tabs you have open into a small, calm office. Every tab is a teammate sitting at a desk, and every Chrome tab group is a project desk. One look tells you which tabs need you, which ones you can close, and what meeting is coming up. WHY Too many tabs make it hard to know what you were doing. Tidy Tab Office sorts them by project, highlights what needs attention, and lets the rest fade into the background. PROJECTS FIRST • Each Chrome tab group is a project desk, synced both ways with your tab bar. • Drag a teammate onto a desk to add the tab to that project, or onto "New project" to create one. • Also view by tool (mail, meetings, docs, design…) or by freshness (in use, today, this week, forgotten). SEE WHAT NEEDS YOU • Teammates with a due note stand up and raise a hand. • Tabs you use most look bigger; tabs you barely touched in 7 days fade out and sit at the end. • A "How to read" card explains every signal. NOTES THAT STICK TO THE LINK • Write a note on any page (right-click, or Alt+Shift+N). Selected text is quoted for you. • Status: To do · Waiting · Feedback given · Done, with a dated log. • Reminders (1 hour, tomorrow 9:00, next week…) with a system notification and a badge count. • Close the tab, reopen the link later — the note is still there. LESS TAB CLUTTER • Quick find (Alt+Shift+K): search open tabs, projects and notes, even notes of closed tabs. Accent-insensitive. • Focus a project: switch to it, collapse other groups, dim other desks. Exit restores everything. • Let idle tabs nap: free memory without closing them. Mail, chat and meeting tabs are never put to sleep. MEETINGS (OPTIONAL) • Off by default. Turn it on only if you want it: a short setup connects your own Google Calendar (read-only) or a private iCal link. • A secretary shows your next meetings, reminds you 5 minutes before and gives a one-click "Join" button. OPEN IT YOUR WAY • Click the toolbar icon to open the office in a tab, or open it in the Side Panel while you work. • Optional: keep the office pinned every time Chrome starts. Your New Tab page is never replaced. PRIVACY • Everything stays in your browser. No account, no server, no analytics, no ads. • Never reads your browsing history. It only sees the tabs you have open; usage is counted locally while you switch tabs and deleted after 7 days. • Calendar data goes straight from Google to your browser, read-only.
