Reopen Closed Tab in One Click — Restore Recent Windows
Overview
Undo accidental closures from the toolbar or right-click menu. Bring back recently closed tabs or a whole window, newest first.
Reopen closed tab with a click on the toolbar icon when you press the wrong page's close button by accident. The extension asks your browser for its newest restorable session entry and brings it back immediately. There is no popup to navigate and no keyboard shortcut to remember. If the newest entry is a closed window, it returns as a group rather than as a single page. Repeated clicks move through the available entries in reverse order, so you can step back beyond your most recent mistake. ↩️ WHAT YOU GET • Recover the latest available entry directly from the toolbar. • Use the page's right-click menu for the same action without reaching for the icon. • Bring back a whole group when the browser records it as one session. • See a gray "0" badge for two seconds when nothing is available to recover. 🔧 HOW IT WORKS 1. Pin the extension using the puzzle-piece menu beside the address bar. 2. When you need an undo, press its icon. 3. Your most recent recoverable page or group returns. 4. Press again to move further back, or stop when you have what you need. There are no restoration settings to configure. The icon performs the action directly; you do not need to choose an item from a separate history panel. 💡 GOOD TO KNOW Can I restore closed tabs with the mouse instead of remembering Ctrl Shift T? Yes. This is an alternative that gives you a visible button; the right-click entry is another way to reach it. Can I reopen last closed tab entries from any point in my browsing history? No. Recovery depends on the recent session list your browser makes available. The extension does not maintain an archive, and it cannot promise to recover unsaved form contents. 🔒 DATA AND ACCESS The sessions permission provides access to the recent entries needed for recovery. The context menu permission adds the page action. Page contents are not read to perform a restoration. The extension keeps no separate collection of your browsing addresses and requires no account. It uses the existing session records on your computer rather than sending them to a recovery service.
