CleanMyX deletes your old posts on X in bulk, so you are not sitting there removing them one at a time. It works in the background. Start a clean-up, close the popup, and carry on browsing. Close your browser and it picks up where it stopped when you open it again. There are two ways to use it, and they reach different amounts of your history. QUICK CLEAN, NOTHING TO SET UP Open the popup, tick what you want gone, press Start: Tweets Retweets Likes Accounts you follow You can narrow it down by word, or by age using set options like older than a month, older than a year, or older than five years. This reaches your most recent 3,200 tweets, retweets and likes. That limit comes from X and applies to every tool, not just this one. There is a safe test switch that stops after 10 items, so you can see what happens before running the whole job. FULL HISTORY, USING YOUR X ARCHIVE If you have been posting for years, most of your history sits behind that 3,200 limit. Your archive file is the way past it. Ask X for your data (Settings, then Download an archive of your data). When the file arrives, drop it into CleanMyX. It is read on your own computer and is not uploaded anywhere. This route reaches everything, and gives you more control: Original tweets, replies, retweets and likes, each switched on or off separately Filter by word Filter by date, between any two dates you choose Filter by how a post did, using minimum and maximum likes and reposts That last filter is the one worth knowing about. Set maximum likes to 2 and you clear years of posts nobody saw, while the ones that did well stay where they are. You see exactly how many items are selected before anything is deleted. You can also download a spreadsheet of that selection first, listing the type, date, likes, reposts, text and link for every item, so you keep a record of what you removed. Replies can only be cleared this way. X does not let any tool list your replies without the archive file. BLOCK OR MUTE A LIST OF ACCOUNTS Paste in usernames, one per line or separated by commas, choose block or mute, and it works through the list. It has the same safe test switch that stops after 10. SAVE ANY PUBLIC ACCOUNT TO A SPREADSHEET Enter a username and get a CSV of that account's posts, with the ID, type, text, date and link. Nothing is deleted. Each post it collects uses one of your free daily actions, so Pro is what removes the ceiling. WHAT IT COSTS You get 50 free actions every day. One action means one post deleted, one like removed, one account unfollowed, one block or one mute. The count resets the next day, so you can keep chipping away at a big clear-out for nothing. Everything runs on the free daily actions, including saving somebody else's account to a spreadsheet. Pro simply lifts the daily ceiling. WHILE IT IS RUNNING Three speeds, working out at roughly 800, 2,400 or 4,500 actions an hour. X caps how quickly anything can delete posts, so a long job will hit that ceiling. CleanMyX waits it out and carries on by itself rather than stopping and losing your place. You can pause, resume or stop at any point, and afterwards download a log showing what happened to each item. WHERE YOUR DATA GOES Your posts, your archive file and your following list stay inside your browser. CleanMyX works through the X account you are already signed in to, so there is no account to create and nothing to sign up for. If you buy the paid version, checking your licence key is the only thing that leaves your browser, and that check carries nothing personal.
