Turn the page you are viewing into a short, branded link on your own domain — in one click, without leaving the tab. GOZE for Chrome is the browser companion to GOZE, the branded-link platform with bot defense, targeting, and monetized gating. If you already run marketing links through GOZE, this extension removes every step between "I'm looking at a page" and "I have a short link on my clipboard." WHAT THE EXTENSION DOES Click the GOZE icon in your toolbar. The popup shows the address of the page you are on, ready to shorten. Create the link and GOZE either mints a short slug for you or uses a custom one you type. The finished link appears straight away, and "Copy" places it on your clipboard. Links are created on your own GOZE instance, on your own domain — not on a shared public shortener. Destinations, click counts, and history stay in your account. New links are filed automatically against the right channel based on where they point, so a link you create from the browser lines up with the ones you create in the GOZE admin. That is the whole extension, on purpose. It has one job: the page you are on becomes a branded link you can paste anywhere. Everything else — analytics, targeting, gating, link health — lives in your GOZE admin, one click away. WHAT IS GOZE? GOZE is a link-management platform that runs on your own subdomain, custom domain, or short link — links that defend, target, and monetize themselves. DEFEND. Details at https://goze.app HOW THE EXTENSION FITS IN The extension is deliberately the thinnest possible client: it reads the address of the tab you are on (only when you click the icon), sends it to your own GOZE instance, and hands back the short link. It has no content scripts, never reads or modifies the pages you visit, keeps no browsing history, and contains no analytics or advertising. The powerful parts — choosing where a link points by country or device, gating it behind a payment, watching its click history — happen in your GOZE admin, using the link the extension just created. GETTING CONNECTED The extension requires a GOZE account and has no standalone functionality. 1. In your GOZE admin, open Settings, then API Access, then Apps & Extensions, and click "Generate connection code". 2. Paste the code into the extension's Connect screen and click Connect. 3. Your browser will ask permission to access your GOZE domain — granting it is what allows the extension to create links there. The code is decoded on your device rather than sent anywhere, and it carries a private, revocable access token — treat it like a password. Each code works for exactly one app or browser: the first client that uses it claims it, so a code can never be quietly shared. Generate a separate code for each browser you use. GOOD TO KNOW - Only http:// and https:// pages can be shortened. Browser settings pages, local files, and other extensions' pages cannot — on those, the button is disabled and the popup says why. - The connection is per browser. Connect each browser you use, and revoke any of them independently. - The connection token is limited to creating and reading links. There is no API key to copy around. - Your admin's Connected apps list shows every connection with what it is and where — this browser appears there the first time it creates a link, and you can revoke it at any time. "Disconnect" in the extension removes the stored token from this browser. - The token is stored locally in this browser only. It is never synced to your Google account or to other devices. PRIVACY The extension sends the address of a page to your own GOZE instance only when you choose to shorten it. Nothing goes to GOZE, LLC or any third party. It requests the minimum permissions for its one feature: reading the active tab's address when you click the icon, storing your connection locally, writing the finished link to your clipboard, and talking to the single domain you connected it to.
