Overview
Hides account-menu sign-out entries on Google and YouTube pages to reduce accidental sign-outs.
Google Sign-out Button Blocker is a single-purpose extension that hides “Sign out / Logout” entries in account menus on Google and YouTube, reducing accidental sign-outs that interrupt your workflow (re-login, 2FA prompts, lost context, etc.). Key features Automatically hides sign-out UI in supported Google and YouTube pages, including dynamically rendered account menus. One-click toggle to enable/disable protection at any time. “Disable for 10 minutes” button to temporarily show sign-out entries, with automatic resume when the countdown ends. Best-effort real-time sync across open tabs/frames so changes apply without manual refresh. How it works / limitations This extension does not access or change your account credentials or login state. It only hides matching sign-out UI elements on the page. If Google/YouTube updates their UI and detection stops working, refresh the page or reopen the tab. Permissions rationale Google/YouTube site access: required to hide sign-out UI on those sites. storage: stores your enable/disable state and the temporary-disable timer locally. tabs / webNavigation: used to sync state updates across the active tab and frames for immediate effect. Privacy No data collection, no tracking, and no external data transmission. Settings are stored locally in your browser.
