Local, no-API natural language query compiler for Google Scholar & literature search engines.
Turn natural-language research questions into structured, database-ready search queries—directly in your browser. This extension is designed for researchers, graduate students, medical literature searchers, and academics conducting systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and meta-analyses. Local and Privacy-Focused Processes search prompts locally within your browser extension. Designed to compile queries without sending your requests to third-party web servers. Does not require external API dependencies. Key Features PICO and SPIDER Structuring Organize research prompts using common evidence-synthesis frameworks, including Population, Intervention, Outcome, Methodology, and exclusion criteria. Search Strategy Templates Generate search strategies tailored to different research goals: Balanced: Combines precision and recall, with suggested synonyms. Title-Focused: Creates targeted phrase searches using intitle: operators. Expanded Vocabulary: Suggests alternative, unquoted terms to broaden early searches. Empirical and Methods: Includes terms for empirical studies, trials, and longitudinal research. Review and Synthesis: Includes keywords suited to systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Controlled Vocabulary Suggestions MeSH descriptors: Suggests relevant Medical Subject Headings, such as mapping “insomnia” to standard MeSH terminology. ACM CCS taxonomy: Helps map computer science concepts to relevant ACM Computing Classification System categories. Multi-Database Syntax Mapping Adapt a search strategy for multiple academic platforms: Google Scholar PubMed, including conversion of intitle: to [tiab] and - to NOT arXiv, including conversion of intitle: to ti: and - to ANDNOT IEEE Xplore, including conversion of intitle: to "Document Title": Semantic Scholar JSTOR PRISMA Literature Tracking Track record counts in the side panel and export structured search documentation in Markdown, LaTeX (.tex), or JSON.
