Google Meet AI Actions
Overview
Turn Google Meet Gemini discussions into Linear tickets. Review, assign, set status, and update issues. No separate AI API key.
Turn Google Meet discussions into Linear tickets using Gemini already built into Meet. No separate AI API key or external meeting bot is needed. Google Meet AI Actions adds review and send controls to the Ask Gemini panel, plus configurable prompts for creating tickets and updating existing issues. It is free and open source under the MIT license. CREATE ACTIONABLE TICKETS Ask Gemini to draft a ticket about a topic using changes and decisions discussed in the call. Review the title, Markdown description, requirements, and acceptance criteria before sending to Linear. Choose a workflow status, including Backlog, and an assignee. UPDATE EXISTING LINEAR ISSUES Search recent tickets in newest-first order. Load the selected ticket into the update prompt so Gemini can incorporate the meeting's changes. The review flow offers Create new, Replace description, or Append to description. Issue IDs, links, and matching titles can suggest an update; you confirm the target and action before a write. MAKE THE PROMPTS YOURS Edit the ticket and update prompt templates in extension settings, or restore the supplied presets. Save default status and assignee choices, then override them for individual sends. HOW IT WORKS 1. Use desktop Chrome with eligible access to Ask Gemini in Google Meet. 2. Create a Linear personal API key restricted to Read and Create issues permissions and only the team you want to use. 3. Save the connection and team in extension settings. 4. Open Ask Gemini during a call, choose Ask for ticket or Ask for update, and review the draft before confirming Send to Linear. PRIVACY AND CONTROL The extension does not record audio or run its own AI model. Selected drafts are processed in your browser and sent directly to Linear when you confirm. Existing issue details are inserted into Gemini only when you choose the update prompt. Your Linear key and preferences stay in local Chrome extension storage. There is no developer-operated backend, analytics, advertising, or sale of data. REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITS A Linear account and a Linear API key are required. No OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini API key is required. Your Google account must already have access to Ask Gemini in Meet; the extension does not provide that access. Desktop Chrome only. Jira is not supported yet and may be considered if there is community interest. This is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or Linear. Google Meet, Gemini, and Linear are trademarks of their respective owners. Source, setup, API key instructions, privacy policy, and support: https://github.com/nisgoswami/google-meet-ai-actions
