Overview
Swap Google Chat's Enter key to Slack-style. Enter inserts a newline, Cmd+Enter (Ctrl+Enter on Win) sends.
A minimal Chrome extension that swaps Google Chat's Enter key behavior to match Slack and Discord — Enter inserts a newline, Cmd + Enter (Ctrl + Enter on Windows) sends the message. No settings, no UI. Install it and it works instantly. ■ Features ・Enter inserts a line break ・Cmd + Enter (Ctrl + Enter on Windows) sends the message ・Works on both chat.google.com and the Chat panel inside Gmail ・Japanese IME confirmation Enter no longer triggers send ・Shift + Enter still inserts a line break, as before ■ Who it's for ・People who switched from Slack to Google Chat and whose fingers haven't caught up ・Anyone who has accidentally sent a half-written message by hitting Enter ・People who frequently write multi-line messages and want breathing room ■release note ▼v1.0.2 What's new ・Pressing Enter while the @ or / suggestion popup is open now confirms the highlighted candidate instead of inserting a line break. ・Pressing Enter inside a bullet list ( - / * ) now adds a new bullet, matching Shift+Enter behavior. ・Pressing Enter inside a code block (```) now inserts a line break inside the block instead of breaking it. Mentions, bullet lists, and code blocks now work the way they do in Slack and Discord.
