Descripción general

Use natural language to create Google Calendar events with zero clicks from anywhere in your browser.

Google Calendar used to have a natural language input to create calendar events. Think "Get groceries next Thursday from 3:30 to 5pm". They deprecated this feature, leaving millions of unhappy users in the process. Now, you need to perform 10+ clicks to create an event. This extension allows you to create events in zero clicks. How’s that for your Google Calendar power user carpal tunnel? The most useful situation for this extension: you’re in the middle of doing something important, like filing your taxes or making dinner reservations for an anniversary. You see a confirmation page with some dates that are important to you, but also instructions on what to do next. Instead of interrupting your flow by opening Google Calendar and going through the 9 clicks you need to create an event, simply press Command/Control + E, type in the relevant dates separated by semicolons "Dinner reservation march 3 5pm; taxes due 4/1; check on cat food availability in 72 hours" and press enter. 3 calendar events will automatically prepopulate so you can save and close them in seconds, without losing your place. Google Calendar Natural Language Input allows you to use a quick shortcut (Command + E) to open a text box and type in whatever event you want in natural language to automatically create a Google Calendar event page with all the details pre-filled. It also includes a Quick Add button in Google Calendar that allows you to enter natural language to create events. Update August 5, 2025: Added ability to select calendar to save event to. Use the settings icon to add calendar IDs (find them in the Google Calendar Settings > Settings for My Calendars > select a calendar > Integrate calendar > Calendar ID. Associate each calendar ID with a nickname, and simply use @nickname when creating the event to automatically choose which calendar you want to save to. Update August 2, 2025: Fixed the multiple instances of the Quick Add button being added to the calendar. Press Command + E (Ctrl + E on Windows) to pull up a text input to add your event details. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Have an event name. "Get groceries" 2. Have a time or date. "next Monday", "tonight at 7pm", "in 2 days at 6pm" 3. Optional: multiple events separated by a semicolon ; 4. Optional: add a recurrence. "everyday", "every 2 months", "every year" 5. Optional: add details. "d(bring an umbrella", "d(read this before link.com)" 6. Optional: add a location "l(Central Park)", "l(Pizza place on the corner)" 7. Optional: add a target calendar for the event using @nickname. Set the saved calendar IDs in the settings panel. If the extension doesn't work for you, go to chrome://extensions/shortcuts to see what other extensions are using the Command+E (or Control + E) shortcut, and change them to something else. See the Help button in the extension for more details. HOW TO USE : 1. Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store 2. Command+E to open extension menu. Swap Command for Ctrl for all cases below for Windows users. 3. Type an event name, date, and time in natural language, eg "Get flowers for wife next week" will create a calendar event called "Get flowers for wife" with the date 7 days from today. Another example: "Schedule a call with Peter next Friday at 4pm" will create a calendar event prepopulated for the following Friday at 4pm called "Schedule a call with Peter". 4. Press `Enter` 5. A Google Calendar page will open. Press `Command+S` to save the event, then `Command+W` to close. 6. Congrats, you just created a calendar event using natural language with NO mouse movement! Your carpal tunnel thanks you.
